Google Drive storage

Google Drive is my choice of cloud storage. I've made like 20 Google accounts, all to serve different purposes. They also give me 15GB free storage per account. But a few years back, I decided it was too much hassle to split my files between them. So, I paid for a 2TB plan. And then I discovered something amazing. I still had access to my university Google account. They used the enterprise version of Google for student email and file storage. And the storage is unlimited! So I tried getting a refund for the plan I paid for. It said it was non-refundable. But somehow, I was able to contact someone and get it refunded. I've been storing my files on the unlimited storage account ever since, now over 1TB.

But I worry what would happen if the university suddenly revokes my access. They've already transitioned over to Microsoft for student emails. They may catch on that students (not me) are abusing the unlimited file storage for things like piracy. So this week I went back to a paid plan on my personal account. I'm using MultCloud to transfer/copy entire folders over. I can't transfer ownership directly between the Google Drive accounts since that can only be done for another account within the university organization. I'll keep using it for a video archive of Zoom recordings, which take up a lot of space but are not necessarily important for me to keep (I’m still a bit of a compulsive data hoarder). The main reason I upgraded my account was to have enough storage to continue using Google Photos on my main personal account, where I have photos organized by albums. Back in June, they stopped offering free storage with compression. So now, I have duplicates of my photos on both Drive accounts, in case I lose access to one.
