Merry Modz NFT
Tom Bilyeu has had a large impact on my life indirectly. I remember first seeing him in a clip with David Goggins. In his show Impact Theory, he interviews and "explores the mindsets of the world's highest achievers to learn their secrets to success."
It was through his content that I learned all kinds of new things, discovered authors who's books I have gone on to read, and made healthy improvements to my life. Here are a few of the most memorable episodes for me:
I actually haven't listened to much of his stuff in the past year. It's one of those sources that is so informationally rich, that I get overwhelmed: learning so much stuff so quickly, that it feels wasted if I don't take time to further digest it and apply it.
Last week, I got an email from his newsletter. I rarely, if ever, have received emails from him. This one was about his new NFT launch: Merry Modz. I thought that was interesting he was jumping onto the NFT hype train. It turns out that this is just one part of his grand vision to build a media studio that competes with and surpasses Disney.
What I love about his vision is he wants to use the power of story to better people's lives. He's all about self-improvement. He wants to live forever, and his personal intention in his interviews is to get the best information to live a long life, so that he's still alive by the time reverse-aging technology becomes available. He was also passionately researching health to help his wife with the terrible issues she had. They have decided to not have children, because they want to focus all their attention on helping their audience, which they think of symbolically as their children. He is so passionate and authentic, that I can't help but respect him, and cheer him on.
So I had to check out what his NFT project was all about, and support it if it seems moderately cool. Well, his plan is to release a feature-length, Christmas-themed product. The NFTs are just one way to start getting people interested. He was on some live calls on Discord and Twitter Spaces outlining his vision for this, and how this is a new way of crowd-sourcing creative content. His team will have a full script for an animated movie or something by next year. I don't fully understand how things are going to work out, but he is all in committed to it no matter how well the crypto side of things goes, and I'm interested enough to go along for the ride and participate.
Today was the unboxing of the NFTs, and this is mine.
