My interest in Spiderman (Part 1)

As a kid, I heard of Spiderman, but had never seen any cartoons or comics of it. My parents didn’t let me consume that kind of material, so it was a mystery to me how he was a hero. He looked kind of scary with his mask.

Then at a friend’s house one day (during middle school), I played a Spiderman game on his PS2. I fell in love with the superhero then. His superpowers were amazing and activated my imagination: swinging and zipping through the city, climbing on walls, jumping super high, beating up bad guys with cool moves... I would daydream having powers like Spiderman, and played the game at my friend’s house every chance I got. During one sleepover, I even beat the second-to-last level that my friend had trouble with getting through, and then we got to experience the final boss fight.
